Strong site support and a positive safety culture Plumber / Drainlayer Tradestaff Christchurch is seeking an experienced Plumber / Drainlayer to join our team. This role is ideal for a qualified tradesperson who values job security, consistent work, and the support of an established recruitment partner. Location: Christchurch Pay rate: $40–$45 per hour (experience dependent) Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm Start: Immediate What you’ll do: - Carry out plumbing and drainlaying maintenance across varied sites - Diagnose and repair drainage, sewer, and stormwater issues - Install, repair, and maintain pipework, fixtures, valves, and drainage systems - Respond to emergency and call-out work when required - Complete basic compliance checks and job reporting - Work closely with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to deliver work safely and efficiently What we’re looking for: - Qualified Plumber with Drainlayer registration or solid drainlaying experience - Minimum 2+ years’ experience in commercial, industrial, or maintenance plumbing - Ability to work independently and manage jobs on site - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude - Full NZ Driver Licence - Reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to quality workmanship What’s in it for you: - Competitive pay of $40–$45 per hour, based on experience - Long-term work with consistent hours - Ongoing training, upskilling, and career development - Strong site support and a positive safety culture Why work with Tradestaff?
