**Laboratory Technician - Manufacturing (Hunua)**
**Hunua | $25 per hour | Monday - Friday Day-based role**
Our client is a well-established New Zealand manufacturer supplying high-quality aggregate and building materials nationwide. Due to ongoing operational demand, we're seeking a reliable Laboratory Technician to join their Hunua-based laboratory team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, takes pride in accuracy and compliance, and is keen to build experience within a structured laboratory environment.

**About the Role**
* Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you will support day-to-day laboratory operations by monitoring, inspecting, sampling, and testing aggregate products in line with quality management systems, standards, and customer specifications.
* Your responsibilities will include:
* Carrying out aggregate quality control testing in accordance with laboratory procedures
* Collecting, registering, and preparing samples for testing
* Conducting routine and experimental testing as required
* Accurately recording, storing, and reporting test results
* Supporting research and development testing activities within the laboratory
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment
* Assisting with operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives
* Participating actively in daily lab operations and team activities
**What We're Looking For**
We're seeking someone who is:
* Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality
* Comfortable working with testing equipment and following set procedures
* Safety-focused with a proactive approach to hazard management
* Well organised and able to manage routine testing tasks
* Confident communicating in English (written and verbal)
* Willing to learn, develop technical skills, and contribute to team success
* Previous laboratory, quality control, or manufacturing experience is advantageous, but not essential - training will be provided for the right candidate with the right attitude.
