Wellington Glass & Mirror is establishing a new Workshop Service Delivery Manager role to lead our busy workshop and ensure materials are ready for our glaziers and installers. This is a key operational leadership role supporting both the retrofit and glazing divisions.
The role
This busy role leads all workshop, inward goods, stock, fabrication and staging activities, planning workflows and coordinating resources so every job is properly prepared and quality checked before installation. The role covers timber and aluminium joinery fabrication and glazing, painting operations, job staging and the safe running of all workshop functions.
Key responsibilities
• Lead, coach and organise the workshop team, including stores, timber, aluminium fabrication, painting and general workshop staff.
• Plan and monitor daily and weekly workflows, ensuring job packs and staged materials are complete, accurate and ready ahead of install dates.
• Oversee inward goods, stock control, QA and materials flow so internal customers get the right materials at the right time.
• Own workshop production standards, job readiness, technical compliance and accurate documentation for all jobs.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and processes, and lead health and safety across all workshop activities.
About you
You bring 5+ years in workshop, glazing, joinery, fabrication or similar, with proven team leadership and scheduling experience. You are organised, calm and solutions-focused, with strong health and safety knowledge and a passion for quality, continuous improvement and great internal service.
