




Switching Operator We are looking for a skilled and safety-focused Switching Operator to join our dedicated switching team. This role is critical to the safe and reliable operation of the network and offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact switching activities in the field and through detailed planning. About the Role As a Switching Operator, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end switching operations. This includes developing, reviewing, and executing switching schedules, as well as carrying out field switching activities on live networks. You will work closely with a team of experienced switching writers and field operators, contributing your expertise to support business operations and customer outcomes. Key Responsibilities * Prepare, review, and execute switching schedules to enable safe and efficient network operations * Perform complex field switching activities in line with approved procedures * Collaborate as an active and supportive member of the switching team * Ensure all work complies with Northpower requirements, Powerco network standards, and relevant performance indicators * Deliver a high standard of customer service while maintaining strict compliance with Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) requirements * Identify opportunities for improvement and actively contribute to enhancing switching processes and practices About Us: Northpower is an electricity and fibre network provider for Whangarei and Kaipara, with more than 60,000 connected customers.
