Engage positively and contribute to the program schedule Youth Support Worker AOD Youth Residential Programme * Motivate and support youth at our well-regarded NGO * Residential setting in Burnside, Christchurch * 32 hours per fortnight Odyssey House Christchurch provides treatment and services for those experiencing issues with alcohol and drugs, mental illness and related issues. Our Youth Residential Programme supports youth who are living with us for 3-4 months receiving schooling, treatment and recreation activities. You will work alongside another staff member to engage in scheduled recreation activities, day to day activities and education. There are meals to prepare and activities to attend, so you have to be prepared to pitch in and engage positively and to the programme schedule. You will have • Ability to work with youth at risk • Experience in youth work or relevant experience in alcohol & drug treatment, or studying towards a qualification • Ability to deal with difficult situations with a calm and professional manner. • Good communication and organisational skills • Ability to work Mondays and Sundays, 8.30am to 4.30pm • A clean and full NZ driver’s license Please apply by clicking the Apply button and specify the reference number RR26-0003 in your application.
