Opportunity to work on a variety of projects Quantity Surveyor / Estimator We are a well-established commercial roofing company with extensive experience delivering a wide range of projects in the industrial and commercial sectors. We work with a variety of clients and pride ourselves on quality and performance. TH Roofing is seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our growing team. This role is integral to the successful delivery of our roofing projects, managing the process from initial customer enquiry through to quotation, contract award, and final account completion. We welcome applications from recent graduates who have completed a Quantity Surveying degree, as well as experienced Quantity Surveyors / Estimators with several years’ industry experience. About the Role You will be responsible for preparing accurate and commercially sound quotations and tenders, supporting project delivery, and ensuring all work aligns with THC Roofing’s internal practices, quality standards, and legislative requirements. Key Responsibilities * Review designs, drawings, and specifications to accurately apply sound Quantity Surveying practices. * Identify, analyse, and manage commercial risks. * Identify conflicts in drawings, details, and specifications, and liaise with designers and main contractors to resolve issues. * Undertake full cost analysis and prepare quotations using approved company margins. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current legislation and building practices relevant to roofing and apply this knowledge to mitigate risk. * Prepare tenders, quotes, and contract documentation with clear supporting information for internal review and sign-off. * Work within project planning, programming, and timetables. * Provide practical value engineering solutions. * Monitor job progress against quoted values and report any adverse variances to management. * Prepare final accounts for completed projects. * Confirm warranty requirements and project-specific conditions, and complete PS3 documentation for clients. * Follow up on quotations and gather and record client feedback. * Monitor supplier information to stay informed of product developments and pricing changes. About You * To be considered you will need to have a New Zealand Diploma in Construction (Quantity Surveying) (NZQF Level 6) and/or previous construction experience. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. * Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. * Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, suppliers, and clients. * Proactive, solution-focused, and commercially aware.
