We are the excusive national service partner for Bomag specialized equipment for Porter group NZ which has driven the need for our quick growth. We have workshop locations in Auckland and Wellington with a team that has vast experience in roading machinery. Our main focus being road pavers, millers (profilers), stabilizers and rollers however we do repair and service all types of machinery and trucks / trailers . Who are we looking for? As the machinery we work on is a very specialized field, finding a Leading hand with the experience can be a difficult task. We are keen to speak with the right person based in Auckland who is both enthusiastic and motivated to join our team in a leadership role Role: Workshop Leading hand in Otahuhu Auckland . Description: As the Leading Hand you will be the senior technician supervising the workshop team of mechanics while also performing hands-on repair and maintenance tasks. Expectations: * Leadership experience. * Able to work in a fast paced environment. * Qualified heavy diesel technician. * Strong work ethic. * Can problem solve and think on their feet. * Great customer service skills and always aim to have the customer's best interest put first. * Team player with a good attitude and able to maintain a positive working environment. * Produce clear and concise paperwork/documentation and logged in a timely manner. * Comply with all health and safety requirements. * Class 2, 4 ,5 * WTR endorsement ( Not critical ) * Forklift endorsement ( Not critical) Benefits: * Phone * Overtime rate pay. * Machine training (Local/International). * Chance to develop newfound specialist skills. * Work vehicle/fuel card negotiable.
