Accounts Receivable Officer
We’re looking for an organised and detail-focused Accounts Receivable Officer to join our client’s finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structure, takes pride in accuracy, and can build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
About the role
In this position, you’ll be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts receivable process, ensuring timely billing, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the wider team with financial administration.
You’ll also work closely with our operations team, so an understanding of inventory management and how it connects to invoicing and stock movements is highly beneficial.
Key responsibilities
- Process and issue invoices accurately and on time
- Process debtor payments and maintain an accurate debtor ledger
- Communicate with customers regarding payments, queries, and account status
- Implement company credit policies and manage credit approvals
- Process credits and recharges
- Handle returns, claims, and trade-in documentation
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Monitor overdue balances and follow up with customers as required
- Maintain up-to-date records within our finance and inventory systems
- Provide reporting to support business decision-making
- Assist with month-end tasks and continuous process improvement
About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience in Accounts Receivable or a similar finance support role
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Good communication skills and a customer-centric approach
- Confidence working with accounting systems and an understanding of inventory management processes
- The ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership
