Civil Drainlayer
We’re on the lookout for a Registered or Certified Drainlayer to join a busy civil crew delivering projects across Rangiora, North Canterbury, with consistent hours and ongoing work.
Location: Rangiora, North Canterbury
Start date: Immediate
Pay rate: $40 – $45 per hour, paid weekly
What you’ll be doing:
- Installing and maintaining stormwater and sewer drainage systems
- Laying pipes, trenching, backfilling, and compacting to spec
- Reading and interpreting plans and working to council standards
- Carrying out testing and ensuring compliance with regulations
- Working across subdivisions and civil construction sites
- Using hand tools and small plant as required
- Ensuring high-quality workmanship and safe site practices
What we’re looking for:
- Registered or Certified Drainlayer (mandatory)
- Proven experience in civil drainage
- Strong ability to read and work from plans
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and reliable
- Site Safe (preferred but not essential)
