He Korero Mo Te Turanga | The Role We're looking for a Service Manager to lead our Earnshaw Service in Woodhill, Whangarei, a Residential Level 3 Mental Health supported accommodation service. This service provides recovery-focused support for tangata whaiora (people seeking wellbeing) who experience mental health disorders, helping them build skills to live independently in the community. The Earnshaw Service operates 24/7 with daytime and awake night support, so this role includes on-call responsibilities. As Service Manager, you will lead and coordinate a dedicated team to deliver high-quality, person-centred services that promote positive outcomes for tangata whaiora and their whanau. You will provide oversight, coaching, and support to staff, ensuring services are safe, effective, and continuously improved. This is a dynamic leadership opportunity where you will integrate your clinical expertise with our values and commitment to culturally responsive, recovery-focused care. He Korero Mou | About You You are a confident and compassionate leader with a strong foundation in mental health and addiction support. You bring a collaborative approach, a commitment to service excellence, and the ability to guide and grow a team. Job Description: We’re on the lookout for an inspirational and experienced Care Centre Manager to lead this exciting new chapter. You’ll play a critical role in establishing a high-performing team of Nurses and Caregivers, and ensure we continue to deliver the exceptional care we’re known for. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday with slightly variable hours between, 8am – 5pm, with some occasional on-call responsibilities that include weekends and nights. What you’ll be doing: Reporting to the Village Manager, you’ll be responsible for the care centre’s daily operations and strategic leadership, including: * Full accountability for staffing, budgeting, and compliance * Leading and coaching your team with a strong focus on recruitment, development, and recognition * Building meaningful relationships with residents, their families, and stakeholders – and being their trusted point of contact, especially in sensitive situations * Supporting sound clinical decision-making and ensuring quality care at all times * Managing audits, policy implementation, and working with NASC, Te Whatu Ora and other key external agencies * Driving a strong, connected team culture across the village About You You’ll bring experience in a clinical environment with a deep understanding of the aged care sector and Te Whatu Ora standards.
