




**The Opportunity** Are you an experienced calf-rearer looking to take the next step, or maybe you already have experience leading a team, either way we’d love to hear from you. As the Head Calf Rearer, you will manage the daily logistics, the team and operations of the calf shed. Responsibilities will include: * Supporting with animal health treatments & vaccinations. * Feeding calves, Milk mix requirements * Selecting and picking up calves (Autumn’s only) * Vet processes * Organising staff and general day to day planning * Weighing and trucking * Maintaining the facility's presentation and pride * This is a drive in/drive out position. **The Farm** Moutoa Calf Rearing Unit is a newly established facility located in Colyton, Manawatū. Designed primarily as a dairy beef operation, the unit features tunnel housing capable of accommodating up to 400 calves at a time. We focus on rearing Friesian bulls as well as Hereford and Angus-type calves, which are raised to a target exit weight of 100kg.
