About the opportunity The Finance Manager – Commercial & Reporting is responsible for overseeing the financial performance and reporting functions, as well as supporting the commercial aspects of the organisation. This role involves leading the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes to ensure appropriate financial management and enable the business to make data-driven decisions. You will work closely with sales, operations, legal and marketing departments to provide commercial insights and advanced analysis to drive business performance, evaluating commercial contracts and agreements and supporting strategic business decisions. The role requires a strong background in F, P&A in a high-growth manufacturing environment. Exposure to international markets is desirable. About you We are looking for a highly ambitious finance professional who brings expertise and determination to solve complex problems and drive business success. The ideal candidate will have: * Chartered Accountant qualification or equivalent. * Strong background in F,P&A in a high-growth and manufacturing environments. * Experience in conducting commercial analysis, evaluating contracts and terms. Exposure to international markets is desirable. * Experience driving financial management including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting. * Strong leadership skills and deep understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations, including the complexity of a multiple-entities, multiple-currency environment. * Experience in supporting strategic projects such as market entry, acquisitions, and divestments while developing and implementing pricing strategies. * Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement changes effectively. * Highly driven and motivated individual willing to support the business to achieve its significant growth objectives and aggressively develop skills to grow as a person. * Advanced financial modelling capability to support scenario modelling and financial metrics. * Exposure and familiarity with large complex ERP systems. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. ABOUT THE ROLE This is a pivotal role for the business that will suit someone that is diligent, but also thrives in complex environments and can shape the financial capabilities of the business. You will also have the below key responsibilities. * Overall management and responsibility for finance function across Australia and New Zealand * Recording / entering / maintaining financial data (sales, purchases, expenses, etc.) in finance and sales systems * Day-to-day bookkeeping / banks reconciliations and cash flow management, including payments * Managing working capital, including trade finance and FX hedges * Budgeting (both annual and medium term) * Weekly / monthly management reporting * Statutory compliance (GST, IRD / ATO) * Maintaining company data across finance and sales systems, and using it to develop insights and shape decisions * Design and delivery of finance-related projects - systems implementation, process improvement, using data / analytics to improve MI, etc ABOUT YOU You would have worked as a Finance Manager in the past and have the below attributes: * CA - 5+ years post qualification * Xero / bookkeeping proficiency * Knowledge of / experience with trade financing / FX * F, P&A experience or a willingness and aptitude to learn (includes budgeting / forecasting, management reporting / tracking KPIs, trend analysis, etc) * SME experience (preferred) SOUND LIKE YOU?
