Job Description We're gearing up for our busy season and are putting together motivated teams to start at our Malvern processing facility near Christchurch to help get NZ Beef and Lamb from our backyard to customers plates. The knife is the 'single most critical tool to get right'. Hours of work vary from 30–60 hours per week, with paid rates ranging from $25 to $42 per hour, dependent on assigned task, skill, and experience, plus any applicable allowances and overtime. Qualifications As a skilled Meat Process Worker, you will have had at least * NZQCF Level 4 qualification in meat processing OR * At least four months experience using knives or working with meat products * Strong attention to detail and ability to work to specifications * Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced production environment As a member of our team, you will be responsible for a lot of duties including: * Safely using sharp knives, and other equipment * Standing for up to 8 hours. * Lift or move boxes at a minimum weight of 20kg. * Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe boots, mesh safety equipment) as provided by the Employer.
