LRC is a family owned and operated company based in Roxburgh, Central Otago NZ. We Strive to deliver high quality on time jobs to our clients, in a wide range of Civil Construction small or large and Agricultural Contracting Services to our local town and district. Our Jobs can vary from dam repairs and maintenance, farm fencing and repairs to roading and entranceway construction. There is no job to out there we can't do. This role will see the candidate operating a wide variety of heavy machinery. You will also be required to operate a wide variety of excavators and operate truck and trailer units. Key Responsibility's: * Operating and maintaining excavators (1.7t to 20t) Safely and efficiently on civil construction sites. * Operation of a full Class 5 Truck Licence with the ability to move yourself and excavator to each job safely. * Ability to work alone and in a team. * Turn up to work on time and have great self-management skills. * Reading and following site plans and work instructions to complete tasks to required quality and deadlines. * Conducting daily pre-start checks, basic maintenance and troubleshooting whilst adhering to all health and safety and environmental plans. Requirements: * Must have 3+ years' experience and strong knowledge of excavator operations, maintenance and troubleshooting. * Class 4 or 5 full licence is requested as you will be required to move your own digger and gear to the job sites. * W, T and R endorsement and experience is required. * Pass a full pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test (no test no job, a positive result will also a be no job). * Good Communication and Organisational Skills. * Experience using other heavy machinery i.e. Roller, Bulldozer, Tractor or Grader. * Ability to be a Team Player * Referee Endorsements from previous employers is a must for vetting.
