Trade Assist is seeking multiple Assembly Technician to join one of New Zealand's leading engineering companies based in East Tamaki and Penrose! This is a hands-on role where you'll be assembling precision-engineered components, interpreting technical drawings, and working to tight quality standards. We're looking for someone mechanically minded, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to follow technical instructions accurately. Your Responsibilities: * Assemble mechanical and engineered components to specification * Interpret technical drawings, measurements, and assembly instructions * Apply adhesives and complete precision assembly work to a high standard * Use hand and power tools safely and accurately * Maintain quality, safety, and cleanliness across all work areas About You: * Mechanically minded with workshop, assembly, or manufacturing experience * Mechanical Engineering qualification or background highly desirable * Able to read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship * Confident using tools and following precise assembly processes * NZ resident or valid work visa and able to complete the competency assessment Please note - It is a requirement that applicants are able to provide a clean drug and alcohol test result before commencing work with us.
