RedBull Powder Company manufactures a range of explosive products and provides comprehensive drilling and blasting services to quarries, mines and construction projects in New Zealand. We are recruiting a Blasting Labourer to provide hands on support to the mobile processing delivery units, blast crews and manufacturing plant operation at our Macraes Mine, East Otago operation. You will be required to: * Load blastholes in a mining environment * Support the mobile processing delivery unit operators * Support the operation of the manufacturing plant * Comply with safe working procedures and instructions * General labouring and housekeeping duties You will need to bring: * Excellent communication, be physically fit and have a high standard of personal presentation * Great work ethic, great punctuality and be self-motivated to work with a positive can-do attitude * Hold a current full driver licence and clean criminal background Ideally the successful candidate would reside in the East Otago - Waitaki area. Transport is provided from Palmerston to the mine site. The position is available for an immediate start and is rostered: 7 days rostered on and 7 days rostered off. This includes being rostered on across the weekend. Start time is 6.30am. This role can at times be physically demanding and is mostly based outdoors. Applicants must be over 18 years of age. You will be required to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test. The position will also be subject to ongoing random testing.
