About The Role: This role is for skilled and experienced Machine Operators that can operator cranes, excavators, trucks or specialised piling equipment to support our team on our civil and construction projects across Hawke's Bay and Lower North Island. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with relevant experience to further develop their careers in civil industry and contribute to high-quality infrastructure projects. Your Responsibilities: You will be primarily responsible for: • Operating Cranes, Excavators, trucks or specialized piling equipment and other mobile machines or vehicles according to level of experience and license’s held • Experienced in handling and preserving equipment to meet operational standards. • Actively pitching in with your teammates during on-site work. • Comply with safe operating procedures and best practices for the machinery. • Assist with or complete site set out duties as instructed by the Site Supervisor or Project Manager • Maintain a clean and organized work environment. • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects. Yours Skills & Experience: The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction industry and will also have the following skills: • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience operating civil or earthmoving machinery such as excavators, cranes, or piling rigs OR Level 4 Tertiary Qualification. • Valid NZ driver's license and WTR • Preferable Class 2 • Preferable Rigging and Dogging certificate and Forklift licence. • Applicants for the position will need to be legally allowed to work in NZ. Additional Attributes: • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions. • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude towards teamwork. • Reasonable knowledge and understanding of the construction process and industry specialising in structure and piling.
