Operate machinery in a civil construction environment **About Role** Wastewater infrastructure upgrades and treatment plant maintenance projects are underway across the Auckland region. Experienced drainlayers are required to support these works and help deliver projects to meet tight deadlines. **Duties** * Set out drainage works using laser levels and interpret plans accurately * Install, repair and maintain drainage and wastewater systems * Carry out pipe laying, connections, manholes and fittings installation * Operate excavators and small plant when required * Assist with trenching, backfilling and general civil labouring tasks * Work alongside crew to deliver drainage projects safely and efficiently **Experience** * 3+ years experience in drainlaying or civil drainage works * Strong understanding of drainage systems, pipe installation and fittings * Experience reading and working from site plans * Confident operating machinery in a civil construction environment * Background in wastewater or infrastructure drainage projects **Requirements** * Full NZ driver's licence (Class 2 and WTR preferred but not essential) * Physically fit and able to complete manual civil site work * Able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening * Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team or independently * Reliable and flexible with site locations and project requirements **About Company** A leading civil construction contractor delivering complex infrastructure projects across New Zealand and Australia.
