The Role As the Senior HR Advisor based in Auckland and reporting to the General Manager, you will deliver high-level HR consultancy, advice, and support to a portfolio of internal stakeholders. You will also contribute to group-wide HR initiatives, policies, programs, and projects that align with HR plans and corporate strategy. In this role, you will work collaboratively across the HR team to ensure effective service delivery and the achievement of both HR and business outcomes. This is a 9-month maternity leave cover role, offering you the opportunity to step into a senior HR position, gain valuable experience, and make a meaningful impact on our business during this period. * Oversee the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, induction, performance management, employee engagement, training and development, remuneration, and exit processes, while ensuring timely payroll coordination and strong HR policy frameworks. * Lead the implementation, optimisation, and management of HRIS for the NZ site, ensuring accurate workforce data, payroll integration, compliance reporting, and system training for managers and employees. * Drive workforce planning, succession management, organisational design, and change management initiatives to align culture and structure with business goals while supporting retention and employee satisfaction. * Partner with the OH&S Coordinator to implement workplace safety, health, and wellbeing programs, fostering a safe and positive workplace culture. * Provide expert HR advice, coach managers, manage grievances and investigations, liaise with external advisors, and ensure compliance with NZ employment law, contracts, and reporting requirements. * Act as a trusted advisor to the NZ Senior Leadership Team, providing insights on people-related risks and opportunities, leading HR projects, and implementing strategies that drive engagement, performance, and organisational success. The Person The successful candidate will have previous experience in site and operational HR functions, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will have the ability to build strong working relationships and display a consultative and collaborative working style. To be successful in this role you will have: * Proven HR management experience across multiple HR disciplines in New Zealand. * Strong knowledge of NZ employment law, industrial relations, and HR best practice. * Experience in HRIS implementation and optimisation. * Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills. * Strategic thinker with the ability to balance operational delivery and long-term planning.
