He Korero Mo Te Turanga | The Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Support Worker to join our Deaf Mental Health Service. This is a full-time permanent role, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. As a Community Support Worker, you'll build strong, trusting relationships with tangata whaiora (clients), helping them develop and maintain living skills, relationships, and daily activities. You will support clients in achieving their goals and being active participants in their communities. Fluency in New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) is essential, and verbal communication skills would be ideal, especially for coordinating appointments, advocating for clients in health settings, and addressing urgent situations. While NZSL is the primary mode of communication, verbal skills are beneficial for liaising with external services, ensuring safety, and maintaining efficient team communication. He Korero Mou | About You We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual who is passionate about making a difference and embodies our values.
