November AR/VR Meetup: Unity AR Foundation Demo

Welcome to our November AR/VR meetup - on Wednesday, November 26th at 6:45pm for a 7pm start. As usual, this will be held at the Auckland Bioengineering Institite Building (70 Symonds St) at the University of Auckland. This month Zamir Badua will be giving a demonstration using Unity AR Foundation to explore how a simple AR tool can evolve into a spatial prototype. We’ll start by looking at a basic ruler-style measurement app and then see how it can be extended into a room-planning experience. By the end of the session, attendees will gain a clear understanding of AR Foundation workflows and approaches for prototyping practical spatial applications in Unity. As always, the meetup will be at 70 Symonds St. The building entrance will be locked, so when you arrive please text Mairi at 027 446 0164 or Mark at 027 444 0595 to get in, or look for the students outside. We will have pizza and drinks.. Pizza will arrive by 6:45pm, so arrive early.
