**About the role** We're on the lookout for a Class 5 driver, or highly skilled class 4 driver who's looking to step up to class 5 to drive our civil clients sprayer for the upcoming sealing season. This is high level truck driving which will see you driving on some challenging roads throughout the South Island. The day to day work will be operating and driving the emulsion sprayer on site but the work will also include moving of gear throughout sites and bulk cartage. You'll spend a lot of the day going backwards in sprayer, so confidence and experience backing trucks is a must. This work will see you working throughout the wider Canterbury and Mackenzie regions and there will be times where you'll be away from home and on occasion there may also be some night work. The travel usually won't include the weekend, but you will have to be prepared to stay away from home for up to 3 weeks at a time. All accommodation and food costs will be covered and there are generous allowances paid for periods of staying away. **Who are we looking for?** Whilst ideally you'll have experience in the civil sector this isn't mandatory, as the skills required are not too dissimilar to those used in various other truck driving roles and our client is more than willing to teach the additional civil specific elements. But you will need to be a good communicator and able to work well as part of a team to achieve a great result. In addition to the above to be successful in this role you'll need: * A full class 5 New Zealand Drivers Licence with WTR endorsements (Although if you're a great class 4 driver looking for class 5 experience then this role could also be made to suit yourself and we can support with the endorsements if needed) * The ability to pass pre-employment checks including; Drug and Alcohol and criminal history * The right to work in New Zealand and relevant documentation to prove it * A current CV with contactable references **So what's in it for you?** Other than working for a leading civil company that truly cares about its people, invests in modern equipment and is passionate about what they do.
