About us Evergreen Landcare is a national civil and landscape contractor known for large-scale planting, erosion/sediment control, hydroseeding, and top-quality hard/soft landscape delivery. Our Christchurch branch is growing again with a strong workbook across commercial and infrastructure projects. The role As Landscape Foreman, you’ll run day-to-day site operations and a small crew to deliver safe, tidy, on-spec work. You’ll plan ahead, set the pace, and keep standards high while communicating clearly with clients and our branch manager. What you’ll lead Daily planning, task allocation, toolbox talks, and H&S documentation Set-out from drawings, QA checks, and as-built. Hardscape delivery: edging, paving, concrete, timber works/fencing, minor civils Softscape delivery: soil prep, irrigation basics, mulching, turfing, native planting Erosion/sediment measures and reinstatement where required Plant, vehicle, and material logistics; tidy, compliant sites Mentoring crew to lift productivity and workmanship What you’ll bring Proven ability to run a crew and hit programmed /quality targets Confident reading plans and problem-solving on the fly Solid practical skills across hard and soft landscaping (commercial standards) A positive, hands-on leadership style and pride in a neat finish Full NZ Class 1 license (Class 2/WTR a plus) Site Safe/ConstructSafe (or willingness to obtain) Right to work in New Zealand Supportive team culture and a solid pipeline of interesting projects Location Christchurch–Canterbury based, with occasional travel around the region.
