Trade Assist is on the lookout for an experienced HVAC Technician to join a friendly, high-performing team working across some of Canterbury's most significant and most exciting residential and commercial projects. What's on offer: - $28-$35 per hour (depending on experience) - paid weekly - Temp-to-perm opportunity with consistent, long-term work - Full PPE provided + great support from our Trade Assist team - Work on a variety of residential and commercial sites across Christchurch About the role: This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll be installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems while ensuring every job is done right the first time. From heat pumps and ducted systems to fault diagnosis and preventative maintenance — you'll take pride in delivering top-quality results that keep homes and businesses running smoothly. Your day-to-day will include: - Installing and servicing residential heat pumps and ventilation systems - Diagnosing and repairing HVAC faults across residential and commercial sites - Carrying out preventative maintenance on ducted systems - Measuring and preparing installation sites for equipment setup - Working independently and as part of a team to deliver quality results - Providing excellent customer service with a friendly, professional approach What you'll bring: - 2-3 years' experience in HVAC installation and servicing - NZ Electrical Registration (required) - HVAC trade qualification or equivalent experience - Strong understanding of NZ building codes and safety standards - Full NZ driver's licence - A reliable, positive attitude and pride in your work Why Trade Assist?
