This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for the mechanical industry who wants to build a long-term career in engineering. You’ll gain hands-on experience across hydraulic maintenance, repairs, installations, machining, and general engineering work while learning alongside experienced tradespeople. The team at Dynaflow will support you throughout your apprenticeship journey, with day-to-day work closely aligned to your apprenticeship training and course requirements. What You’ll Be Doing * Assisting with hydraulic maintenance, repairs, and installations * Learning fitting, disassembly, repair, and reassembly processes * Supporting machining and turning of mechanical components * Assisting with welding work including MIG, TIG, and Arc * Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings * Helping with diagnostics, servicing, and overhauls * Hose and fitting assembly in both workshop and field service environments * Maintaining Dynaflow’s quality and safety standards * Learning from experienced engineers and fitters on the job What We’re Looking For * Great attitude and willingness to learn * Passion for mechanical engineering and hands-on work * Minimum NZQA Level 2 in Maths and Science * Clean New Zealand driver’s licence * Punctual, reliable, and self-motivated * Great personality with confidence and strong communication skills * Physically fit, energetic, and hardworking * Some understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferred * Ability to work well within a team environment * A good sense of humour — we like to enjoy what we do!
