Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Kaitātari Pakihi - Technical Business Analyst to join the Architecture & Design team within Te Tai Matihiko - Digital Solutions on a 3-month, fixed-term, full-time contract. This is a hybrid role where some work from home can be accommodated. Key responsibilities: * User and Project Support: Assist researchers with REDCap setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and promote its adoption across the University. * Training and Documentation: Deliver onboarding, create guides and resources, and raise awareness of REDCap features and data management practices. * Compliance and Governance: Ensure REDCap projects meet institutional, ethical, and privacy standards, collaborating with governance and ethics teams. * Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with Te Tai Matihiko - Digital Solutions staff, users, University groups, and external suppliers to support REDCap effectively. Key requirements: * Strong technical skills in configuring research surveys, managing user roles, troubleshooting, and supporting secure data workflows. * Proven ability to deliver training and develop clear user documentation. * Excellent communication and client service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. * Ability to work collaboratively with researchers, IT staff, and governance teams. * Contract and full-time * Base in Wellington We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to support and working on replacement project which our client is currently undertaking. **Your key focus on the role will be:** Experienced Senior BA resource to undertake the following type of work: * Draft and finalise the technical and non-functional business requirements documentation to inform a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the replacement existing system. * Gathering non-functional requirements for the RFP process, especially around the technology, solution location, ICT security requirements. * Identify Privacy and Security groups within the organisation to be engaged to ensure their requirements are considered given the type of data held in this system. * Help support the project around the issuing of the RFP and the reviewing RFP responses with project and SME resourcing **Requirements:** * Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. * Seasoned Senior BA with a strong technical leaning, who understands requirements elicitation and documenting technical requirements, and is able to deliver this type of work in a timely fashion to a high standard. * Ability to drive capture and review of technical functional and non-functional requirements to support the RFP process. * Excellent documentation skills and communication skills, and able to work cohesively in a small, high performing team. * Ability to work with transparently and reliably with multiple stakeholders to achieve outcomes * Previous experience undertaking assessment and replacement of existing business applications / system. * Previous exposure to working with biometric systems (desirable, but not mandatory) * An understanding of the RFP process is desirable but not essential, particularly around probity and handling commercially sensitive information.

The team works with the Azure Platform, managing event driven integrations between many systems, with a preference for APIs.
