They work in areas requiring specialised access systems and techniques such as rope access, remote-operated positioning systems, fall protection, swing stages, elevated platforms, scaffolding, and personnel hoists. Work environments may include confined spaces, steep slopes, over water, remote locations, explosives facilities, and security-controlled zones. THE ROLE Rope Access Technician roles are available across all levels of experience including Operator (entry level), Technician, Lead Technician and Specialist. You must be a qualified tradesperson in either welding, fitting, building, electrical etc to be eligible for this opportunity. Access and Rescue operations include Industrial rope access, Advanced rope rigging, Fall protection systems, Swing stage operation and installation, Elevated work platforms (HRWL WP), Personnel hoist (HRWL HP), Confined space entry and rescue and Vertical rescue. DUTIES * Safe work at heights * Perform rope access tasks in accordance with IRATA or SPRAT standards * Conduct inspections, maintenance, and installations on high-rise or difficult-access structures * Operate tools and equipment safely at heights * Complete safety documentation and job reports * Collaborate with supervisors and other tradies on site ABOUT YOU * Qualified tradesperson (electrical, welding, fitting, building/carpentry, rigging etc) * IRATA or SPRAT certification (Level 1, 2, or 3) * Experience in rope access essential * Minimum of 3 years work experience in your trade * Strong commitment to safety and hazard awareness * White Card and relevant high-risk work licenses (preferred) * Physically fit and comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces * Willingness to travel for regional projects * Current C Class Drivers Licence an advantage but not essential * Be prepared to work in uncomfortable environments where necessary (hot, cold, wet, dirty or noisy). * Happy to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required.
