Treescape is running a Utility Arboriculture Apprenticeship program starting this February and are seeking 10 motivated individuals who a ready to start or progress a career in Arboriculture.
About the Apprenticeship:
• Based in Kumeu
• Successful applicants will achieve a Level 2 Arboriculture qualification,then ongoing training to achieve Level 3.
• Combination of practical, hands-on training and theory-based learning
• Work alongside experienced trainers and industry professionals
• All PPE provided with company uniform
• Supportive, team-focused learning and environment
• Paid Training (earn while you learn) through our career pathways and pay banding structure
• Permanent Full-Time Position working Monday to Friday 47.5 hours per week.
Learn and gain qualifications in the following areas:
• NZ Certificate in Arboriculture (Level 3)
• NZ Certificate ESI (Level 2)
• NZ Certificate ESI (Level 3) – (Utility Arboriculture)
This apprenticeship is designed to support individuals looking to build a long-term Arboriculture career through structured training and real-world experience.
We’re looking for people who are:
• Reliable, motivated, and keen to learn
• Has a strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Are safety-focused and able to work as part of a team
• Enjoy practical, outdoor work
• Are physically fit
• Not afraid of heights
• Can work safely in all weather and varied terrain conditions
• Can provide your own transport to and from our Kumeu depot
• Hold a minimum Class 1 restricted driver licence
On completion of the training program, successful applicants will be based in either our Kumeu, Otahuhu or Warkworth Depots.

The Fine Print:
• To be eligible for this position you must currently be living in NZ and have a legal right to work in this country (i.e. NZ Citizenship, be a permanent resident, or hold full working rights). Treescape is a NZ Immigration Accredited Employer, which means that we can support visa applications under the AEWV.
• Candidates will be required to undergo drug and alcohol testing, a medical exam, and Ministry of Justice checks as part of the recruitment process (at Treescape’s cost).
• This is a permanent and full-time position working Monday to Friday 47.5 hours per week.
