About the role:
We are seeking for casual reliable, professional, trusted Security Guards, who are flexible to work weekends, afternoons and night shifts, to join our Dunedin team of dedicated security personnel.
As a crucial guardian of public safety, you will play a vital role in ensuring the security of infrastructure, preventing trespassing, vandalism, and other offences that may occur on-site. This role places a strong emphasis on accurate written reports, monitoring entry and exit points, and delivering a high standard of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular patrols and site checks
• Monitor and report any suspicious activity
• Respond to incidents and emergencies professionally
• Maintain clear and accurate records
• Provide excellent customer service while ensuring site safety
Mandatory Requirements:
To progress through the recruitment process, you must consent to and be able to satisfy pre-employment checks, including:
• Driver’s License, Credit Checks, Ministry of Justice Criminal History and Immigration checks.
• Currently reside in the Dunedin region
• Hold a current Certificate of Approval (COA)
• Articulate and a comprehensive understanding of the written and spoken English language.
• Proven experience in security
• Strong communication and observational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable transport to get to and from work sites
