Job Title: Residential Carpenters Location: Lower Hutt and Ngauranga Gorge. Job Type: Fulltime. Duration: Ongoing. Job Description: We are seeking skilled residential Carpenters to join our team for an ongoing project located in Lower Hutt and Ngauranga. The ideal candidates will possess strong carpentry skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Key Responsibilities: - Execute carpentry tasks including renovations, bathrooms, decking, fencing, roofing, finishing, interior/exterior. - Interpret blueprints and building plans to meet client needs. - Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge. - Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks and props using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue. - Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures. - Ensure all work is completed to high safety standards and complies with building regulations. Skills Required: - Proven experience as a Carpenter. - Proficiency with carpentry tools and techniques. - Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. - Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail. - Good physical condition and stamina. - Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Qualifications: - Level 4 carpentry certification or apprenticeship completion. - Prior experience in a similar role preferred. - EWP, working at heights, confined spaces (a bonus) Requirements: - Full licence and transport. - Hand tools and power tools. - Minor convictions OK. - MUST pass a drug test. - PPE.
