This role is extremely unique and is an opportunity to apply your logistics and material handling skills and knowledge into the construction industry. You will be operating a Forklift on a large construction site based near Queenstown Airport. You will be responsible for managing lots of deliveries to and from site, as well as managing the crane time amongst the different contractors so you must be organised. As well as the planning side of this role, you will physically be operating the forklift yourself onto loading platforms on each level of this site, meaning you need to be very skilled in your forklift abilities and have good attention to detail. We are also looking for somebody who can manage a small but growing team on site. Please note this will be Monday to Friday day shifts and it is a permanent role. Duties will include: * Operating a JLG Forklift onto multiple loading platforms * Managing multiple deliveries daily * Leading a small team of labourers on site * Managing crane time and bookings for each contractor on site * Checking reference numbers against products and ensuring you have the correct products and quantities * Receiving orders and preparing documentation using a computer * This will be a physical role so you must be physically fit * Devanning large containers Skills and Experience * You must have a valid Forklift license and F endorsement, with minimum 2 years experience * Experience in people management would be beneficial * Experience in materials handling and/or logistics planning * You must be computer literate as you will be preparing documentation * You must be Health and Safety focused * Good communication and be able to work alone and in a small team * Thorough with good attention to detail * Physically fit as this role is physically demanding * Self-motivated and proactive * Interested in learning new things * Keen attitude to learn and get involved * Able to pass a pre-employment drug test About the Company With 25 years of experience in the construction industry, our client is a trusted developer known for high-quality products.
