As an essential service, Armourguard’s Cash Services division remains open for the banking industry and the public, when your region or NZ shut down. About the Role: As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of cash services. Our division supports banks, businesses and commercial clients, ensuring reliable access to cash across the Dunedin region. This is a physically active role that requires standing for long periods, lifting, and handling cash manually with machines in a secure, 24/7 monitored facility. We have two shift options available: 1. Day Shift 12:00 – 20:00 2. Night Shift 15:00 – Late / Close Please note that the closing time may be variable depending on operational requirements. Key Responsibilities: * Packing, counting and verifying cash (both manually and using machinery) * Working efficiently as part of a team to meet strict deadlines and targets * Maintaining accuracy and focus in a fast-paced environment Mandatory Requirements: To progress through the recruitment process, you must consent to and be able to satisfy pre-employment checks, including: * Driver’s License, Credit Checks, Ministry of Justice Criminal History and Immigration checks. * Currently reside in the Dunedin region and be legally eligible to work in New Zealand. * Reliable transport to get to and from work Our Ideal Candidate: * Has previous experience in cash handling or banking (preferred but not required). * Works efficiently under pressure and meets strict deadlines. * Is highly responsible, detail-oriented, and quick to learn new processes. * Maintains a strong commitment to health & safety compliance. * Communicates professionally and effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. * Thrives in a team-oriented, collaborative work environment.
