Key Responsibilities: You will be responsible for all aspects of surface preparation and the application of various coatings, including paint, plaster, epoxy, and polyurethane. Duties include, but are not limited to: * Preparing and operating on-site equipment such as scaffolding and ladders * Protecting fixtures and surfaces prior to painting * Preparing walls and surfaces by scraping, washing, filling holes and cracks, removing old paint, vacuuming, and sweeping * Sandblasting and water blasting to prepare concrete and metal surfaces * Reading blueprints and instructions to determine material and tool requirements * Applying sealers and solvents to plaster, concrete, and wooden surfaces * Repairing chips, holes, and cracks to ensure smooth, sealed surfaces * Preparing and mixing paints and additives as required * Applying finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment * Carrying out plaster and window repairs when needed * Maintaining clean workspaces, equipment, and tools * Adhering to on-site health and safety standards * Performing general labouring tasks as assigned Pay conditions: Minimum $30.00 per hour to a maximum of $35.00 per hour depending on experienceHours of work: A minimum of 30 hours of work is guaranteed.Skills and experience required: * A minimum of 2.5 years of relevant painting experience or a formal painting qualification * Strong time management skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude * Flexibility to work in various locations across New Zealand * Commitment to safe work practices and continuous learning * A reliable, self-motivated, and hardworking approach Location:You may be required to work in multiple locations throughout New Zealand, including Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago and Southland.
