We’ve got an exciting GIS Graduate Engineer role just for you! In this position, you’ll get to you will capture, verify and maintain network data sets within a Geographical Information System (GIS), provide GIS support to the user community and assist in quality assurance, making a real impact. The successful candidate will work on key responsibilities like: • Capturing as built data into GIS accurately and promptly to achieve KPI requirements. • Verifying all data in GIS, including data captured by other GIS staff, using quality assurance techniques. • Supporting the GIS team in the use and functionality of the GIS application. • Assisting in land base and kerb line capture using GPS and obtaining developer plans from Customer Projects Team. • Undertaking data enhancement activities on GIS data. • Dealing with document issues and process improvements. • Using SAP to capture network asset information and update job status and completion. • Upskill GIS competence by progressing through the GIS Training Matrix. Qualifications and Skills • A Bachelor Science in Geographic Information Science (BSc GIS) is required. • Computer literacy in relevant applications, particularly GIS Smallworld, Arc GIS & CAD DXF (Microstation and Autocad). • Knowledge of cadastral land bases. Understanding of spatial database structures and maintenance data capture and processes. • Experience in capturing and maintaining GIS data • Analytical and problem-solving skills. Who are we?
