We're on the hunt for a hands-on, experienced Restaurant Manager to take the reins of our high-energy Pizza Bar & Restaurant in the Heart of Queenstown. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on building strong team culture, improving systems, and delivering an exceptional guest experience. The role is for a fixed term so ideal for a qualified person who wants to spend 10 – 12 months with the possibility of extension in the Adventure capital of the world while earning a good wage. You'll oversee all aspects of Restaurant operations, including the front and back of house. • Full responsibility for day-to-day operations • Lead by example on shift, while mentoring and training the FOH team and supporting BOH coordination. • Maintain a tight, collaborative team culture, and ensure all staff absences are covered. • Handle forecasting, budgeting, rostering, costing, inventory, bar optimizations, and weekly Rosters • Manage stock control, maintenance, sales reporting, and training schedules • Oversee seasonal recruitment, & performance reviews. • Coordinate with the kitchen team respectfully and constructively. • Support marketing efforts and promotions to drive new and repeat customers. Qualifications: • Previous experience in a similar role. • Proven track record of successfully leading and developing teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Proactive, collaborative and growth-minded. Position Description - Lodge Manager Ultimate Hikes offers guided multi-day walks on New Zealand's Milford and Routeburn Tracks, blending hiking with comfortable lodges and exceptional hospitality in Fiordland and Mt Aspiring National Parks. Join our seasonal team to create unforgettable guest experiences in stunning locations! Purpose As Lodge Manager, you'll oversee daily lodge operations, lead staff, ensure guest satisfaction, and maintain safety and compliance. You'll train your team, manage hospitality, and support operations while fostering a positive workplace. The role is full-time from early October 2025 until mid April 2026. Key responsibilities Lodge Managers play a significant role in Ultimate Hikes successfully providing an excellent experience for our guests while on track. We expect our Lodge Managers to approach each working day in a positive and enthusiastic manner. Lodge Managers' tasks include but are not limited to: * Leadership: Train and guide staff, provide feedback, and promote teamwork aligned with company values. * Guest Experience: Deliver exceptional service, meals, and housekeeping to exceed expectations. * Operations: Manage rosters, supplies, and lodge compliance.
