**Job Description** **About the role:** We are currently looking for a Class 4 Driver to work as a Cover Driver who will be stepping in when a driver is on leave. The role is based in Auckland, however the driver is required to travel to various depots nationwide as a cover driver. Due to the requirement of this role, we are looking for an experienced Class 4 Driver who is familiar with different geographies in New Zealand and is flexible to travel around the country. In return of your commitment, we offer a permanent full-time role & a safe & stable working environment. In this role you will be delivering cylinders filled with cryogenic products/LPG to customer sites. There is a lot of variety in this role as you will be travelling to different places and meeting different customers. - Working hours will be Monday to Friday with a 6 am start, finishing times may vary depending on deliveries. (Weekends might be required for travel) - No Nightshifts - Loading the truck with cryogenic cylinders/LPG cylinders - Delivering & unloading cylinders safely to customer site. - Maintaining truck and gear. - Compliance to our health and safety standards. **For this role, you will:** - Have proven Class 4 driving experience preferably within a dangerous goods environment. - Have a clean driver’s license. - Be physically fit and willing to do manual work. - Be flexible, adaptable, and have a strong work ethic. - Have a safety-first mindset and the ability to identify and minimise risks. - Have a Dangerous Goods certificate but is not essential as we can offer training. **Pay + Benefits:** **What we offer:** - Stability & Permanent full-time role - Competitive hourly rates, paid weekly. - Fully paid medical insurance for yourself. - Guaranteed 40 hours of work. - Training and upskilling opportunities. **About the Company:** We’re Alexander Group, a well-established New Zealand family-owned specialist transportation and distribution solutions for hazardous and high value goods.
