Our client, a well-established engineering company based in Wiri, is seeking a skilled Fitter Turner to join their growing production team. This full-time, permanent role is based in a state-of-the-art facility and involves hands-on work manufacturing and modifying driveshafts for a wide range of industries.
**About the Role:**
* Assemble, fit, and maintain mechanical systems and components
* Operate manual lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other precision tools
* Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Carry out fault diagnosis and mechanical repairs
* Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
**Skills & Experience:**
* Proven experience in mechanical fitting and manual machining
* MIG welding experience is essential
* Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
* Skilled in operating workshop machinery
* Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
