The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on experience with forklift operations, and a solid understanding of freight handling and logistics coordination Key Responsibilities • Supervise and coordinate all yard activities, including loading and unloading of varied freight. • Lead, train, and schedule yard staff, ensuring safety and productivity standards are met. • Operate forklifts as needed. • Maintain yard organisation, cleanliness, and compliance with safety regulations. • Monitor inbound and outbound freight schedules to ensure timely and accurate movement of goods. • Liaise with drivers, dispatch, and warehouse teams to manage workflow efficiently. • Track inventory and oversee proper documentation of shipments. • Implement and enforce company policies, safety procedures, and equipment maintenance schedules. About You: • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in freight yard or warehouse management. • F endorsement and proven experience operating forklifts safely. • Strong leadership and team supervision skills. • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. • Knowledge of freight logistics systems. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. ----------------------------------------------------------- Forklift Operator: We're seeking an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our team at the Richmond Depot, helping to keep our customers satisfied and our operations running smoothly, safely, and successfully. You will be loading and unloading trucks and looking after our yard. About You: Your previous experience in a forklift & customer focused role along with general store/yard work will make you an ideal candidate. You will need a Class 1 licence and F Endorsement. OSH training can be provided.
