Casual Hospital Guard * Are you seeking casual part-time work? * Do you have prior experience within a security oriented role e.g. Police, Corrections or Ministry of Justice? * Position based at New Plymouth Remand Centre Mo te tunga | About the role We have a duty of care to all those in our custody. Everyday life brings different challenges and there will be times when the people in our care require more specialist medical intervention outside of our facility, from accident and injury to serious illness and palliative care. We seek committed individuals to undertake hospital guard duties on an "as and when required" basis - usually at short notice, day or night. Your main focus will be the close supervision and security of individual prisoners while inside a hospital facility. While on duty you will be working alongside a Corrections Officer. This is a critical role as it allows us the comfort of knowing the safety and security of the community is in capable hands while we focus on operational requirements back in the prison environment. As part of our recruitment process you will be required to complete a full disclosure criminal history check and undergo a pre-employment drug test. Full induction and training will be provided. Pest Management Field Coordinator - Mt Messenger
The Project: Waka Kotahi - NZ Transport Agency, along with its delivering agency the Mt Messenger Alliance, is constructing a new section of SH3, between Uruti and Ahititi to the north of New Plymouth in Taranaki which is located entirely within the rohe of Ngati Tama. This new section of SH3 will bypass the existing approximately 7.4km steep, narrow and winding section of highway at Mt Messenger. The Mt Messenger Alliance brings together Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, Downer, HEB Construction, Tonkin & Taylor and WSP, in partnership with Ngati Tama. The Opportunity We are looking for a Field Coordinator to join the Field Operations team undertaking ground-based track-cutting and pest control operations. This role will support the Pest Management Field Manager ensuring that performance standards, operating effectiveness, performance outcomes and health and safety compliance are being adhered to at all times This is a full-time, permanent position with approximately 80% field-based work. As Pest Management Field Coordinator you will be responsible for: * Installing, maintaining and clearing pest traps and bait stations within the pest management area * Accurately recording and securely managing all data associated with the trap and bait networks * Conducting regular network audits as required by the Pest Management Schedule, and keeping records of the results * Actively participating in the implementation of pest plan controls and monitoring * Leading sections of the work plan; as directed by, and with support from, the PM Field Lead * Maintaining pest management infrastructure - bait station, trap audits, track safety and access About you: * You'll ideally have knowledge and experience working in pest management field operations * Competent working in a remote and rugged terrain * Work efficiently in a team and independently * Good record-taking skills * Ideally some experience leading small field teams What's in it for you? You will be working across various departments and education sectors to troubleshoot, maintain, advise, support systems and educate customers. Products and services include Jamf, Google Admin, Microsoft Admin, Microsoft Cloud, Wi-Fi and Networking Solutions, Managed Services, MDM, but is not limited to this scope. This is a customer facing lT services and support role providing Noel Leeming’s customers with world class experiences by facilitating IT Services across several business portfolios/sectors including Setup & Installation, troubleshooting, learning & facilitation, and connectivity services at varied levels across educational facilities. An additional component of this role will involve installing and setting up consumer technology such as WIFI/Networking, TV, PC and Smart Home/Security devices in a range of residential and commercial environments. This position will be based out of the Taranaki/New Plymouth/Whanganui area with regular travel required. Hours of work Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:30pm, 45 hours per week The Junior Networking Engineer will be responsible for fulfilling services via a number of different channels, including but not limited to; commercial or educational facilities, private residence, Noel Leeming stores, or any other stores operated by The Warehouse Group. Essential Qualifications: * Apple OS/IOS knowledge * Experience in school, enterprise or SME IT support roles * Device management knowledge * Software knowledge - Jamf, Google admin and/or Microsoft admin * Level 2 IT Engineer experience * Certifications in Microsoft, Apple and/or networking/WIFI and IT security technologies and or equivalent experience * An understanding of the networking solutions and the impact to the customer experience. * Demonstrated positive experience in working with customers. * Passion for Technology.
