We are looking for a Machine Operator for the 4pm - 12am Monday - Friday night shift with some potential for overtime. You will be responsible for monitoring machine output, ensuring the products meet client specifications and all products are completed to a high standard of quality. If you do not have experience in machine operating in a manufacturing environment, full training will be provided. This role does require some heavy lifting so it is required that you are physically fit. You will attend a full site induction as well as full training on SOPs and you will have the opportunity to progress through the levels - this is encouraged. The main duties include: * Maintain continuous operation of the range of production machinery * Ensure batch weight inputs are correct and match the job requirements * Maintain optimum machine output in line with the production plan * All scrap is monitored and minimised where possible * Strive to upskill and nominate areas for potential improvement * Conduct quality checks on the finished product * Conduct daily, weekly and monthly Master Cleaning Schedule Skills & Requirements * Demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills; as well as good mechanical understanding * Reliable transport to get yourself to and from work * Previous experience operating machinery in a factory environment is advantageous * Possess a keen and positive attitude and can easily adapt and learn new systems * Must be a team player * Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and have no criminal convictions * Thorough with good attention to detail * Physically fit and able to do some heavy lifting About the Company This leading manufacturer of pulp, paper, and wood-fibre-based packaging is renowned for its commitment to sustainability, innovation, and operational excellence.
