About the Role As a Pilot Driver, you will be responsible for safely escorting tractors that mow the sides of roads and state highways in remote areas. You will communicate with the tractor driver and other pilot drivers via a radio system to ensure smooth and safe operations. This role requires focus, reliability, and excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities Include: - Safely driving in front of or behind tractors mowing roads and highways - Maintaining clear communication with tractor drivers and other pilot drivers via radio - Conducting pre-start vehicle checks and reporting any issues - Following all health and safety procedures on site - Working in remote areas while ensuring the safety of yourself and others Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you should have: - A clean Class 1 full NZ driver’s license - Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team - Ability to work independently in remote areas - Experience driving on state highways and rural roads preferred - The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen - References available upon request Hours & Duration - 45–55 hours per week, Monday to Friday - Initial contract: 4 weeks with the possibility of ongoing work How to Apply Click APPLY or contact Beth on 021 839 801 for a confidential discussion.
