Ford Ranger 2008 - a solid, reliable workhorse with a few issues that need attention. ***** Gear Box 3rd gear sticky***** Parting ways with my 2008 Ford Ranger TD XL double cab. It's a NZ-new diesel ute with the 3.0-litre engine and manual gearbox. I've been the only owner since new. This Ranger has 4-wheel drive which has been reliable in tough conditions. The double cab seats five, making it good for both work and personal use. The tray has plenty of space for carrying loads, which is what these utes are built for. It does need some work - I'm being upfront about that. While the engine still runs, there are issues that need fixing. It would suit someone with mechanical skills or looking for a project vehicle that still has good bones.
