We work across the central and lower North Island and beyond, and in partnership with Regional Councils, OSPRI, Department of Conservation, local authorities and groups, and private landowners. If sitting at a desk is not for you, this is about as far from an office job as you can get. Our teams are carrying out pest plant and pest animal control, mainly in Hawkes Bay and Wairarapa. Positions are available in Hawkes Bay and Wairarapa. We also have a spot available in our "away" team, living on the job Monday-Friday in company provided accommodation (eating company provided food). It's a great setup for someone looking to save up some money. Ideally, we are looking for people with some experience and who hold a Controlled Substances Licence (CSL). Don't be put off if you don't tick those boxes though- we do have an entry level position available to someone with a great attitude, who is physically fit (unless you are Hamish Carter, you will get fitter), and loves the bush. Applicants must meet the following criteria: *You will need to be conviction free to be able to obtain/keep a CSL. It's the same test as for a Firearms Licence, so if you have one of them, you're all good. *You need to hold at least a restricted Driver's Licence. *You have to be able to pass a pre-employment drug test (and ongoing random tests). *You will also need to be able to pass a pre-employment medical. There's a fair bit of track cutting involved, so a love of chainsaws is a bonus (along with the tickets).
