We are a small family run Boarding kennel, doggy daycare & Grooming facility. We hold a very high standard of care for dogs while they are in our care. This job involves a lot of hands on and very physical work. You must be a Team player and confident at using a computer and being able to communicate with our clients and other team members. This job involves a lot of cleaning. We are looking for a person who is looking for a Part time Permanent position. About this position - *Is an immediate start *You will be responsible for the health and wellbeing of all dogs whilst in our care. *This job is hands on and is a mix of cleaning and caring for animals *You must be able to communicate with clients and work some reception when needed. *This Job is split shifts *MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS *You will be required to work Public Holidays, Christmas and School holidays to meet seasonal demands. Skills & Responsibilities -Ensuring all dogs are safe while in our care and while outside socialising in small groups -Being able to read dogs body language and social behaviour as well as following procedures to keep all animals safe -Making sure the facilities and environment are kept clean, hygienic & organised -Bathing and Drying dogs. - Opening and closing down facility as required - Reliable high work Ethic - feeding animals - Medicating animals - Confident in handling of all dogs -Being Capable of caring for dogs while on dog walks -Must be able to identify breeds of dogs -must be confident to work in a busy reception with a friendly out going personality -Must be able to work a computer booking system and eftpos - Must Work well as a team member and communicate with fellow staff members, be a quick learner, take instruction and have common sense. - be able to cope in a very high energy environment. -be able to cope with change. This position is flexible and things change daily. Must be mentally and physically fit to work In this busy environment *An ideal candidate will have experience in this industry or have completed an animal care course this however is not mandatory. -MUST LOVE DOGS !!
