We’re looking for an experienced automotive electrician or mechanic to join our highly talented workshop team in the Hawkes' Bay. You’ll be running diagnostics, repairing and maintaining a wide range of commercial vehicles and heavy plant including trucks, utes, excavators, bulldozers, graders, scrapers, ADT’s, etc as well as maintaining machine control GPS equipment. You’ll have at least 5 years’ experience as an automotive electrician / mechanic working across a range of vehicles and heavy machinery, preferably from within a civil construction environment. In addition, you should have the following: * Trade qualified * Experience with air conditioning diagnostics and repairs * Competent with scanning tools * Experience in the maintenance of machine control GPS * Understanding of hydraulics * Ability to work unsupervised * Computer literate (Word, Excel, email, etc) * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Class 1 drivers’ license minimum, and preferably class 2/4 Please note: at this time we are only considering applications from candidates with the current right to live and work in New Zealand.
