Focus on quality and safety in concrete construction Our client is seeking a qualified Concreter to join their team for various construction projects. You will be responsible for tasks such as mixing, pouring, spreading, finishing, reinforcing, cutting concrete and also constructing the molds (formwork) that hold wet concrete in place until it sets. Key Responsibilities: * Interpret and follow technical drawings, plans, and specifications * Measure, cut, and assemble formwork using timber, plywood, metal, or plastic materials * Set up and secure formwork for concrete pours in foundations, walls, columns, slabs, and stairs * Install bracing, supports, and scaffolding as required to ensure formwork stability * Pour, level, and smooth concrete within the formwork * Strip (remove) formwork once concrete has set * Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition *Weighing and mixing concrete materials. *Sampling and testing concrete mixes. *Pouring, spreading, compacting, smoothing, and polishing concrete surfaces. *Driving heavy vehicles, including concrete trucks. * Adhere to all health, safety, and site regulations. Requirements: *Minimum of one year’s experience working as a concreter/frameworker. *Ability to read and interpret plans and follow instructions. *Hold a full Class 1 New Zealand Driver’s Licence. *Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks. *Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and conviction check. *Must have legal work entitlement for NZ.
