Key Duties include: * Support the delivery of the Tamariki Ora programme through health promotion and education * Support universal contact checks and discretionary checks in consultation with Tamariki Ora Nurse. * Promote and support the Tamariki Ora Service and ensure whanau and community are informed about the service and its importance to the health and wellbeing of Tamariki. * Document all Tamariki Ora contacts in the electronic health record (Indici) * Provide education and support services * Assist with access and referrals in the following areas: Breastfeeding, Dental education, Pepi development & ECE The ideal candidate for this role would be someone who: * Enjoys working with people and seeing results * Has the ability to motivate, educate and empower whanau * Is computer literate * Have proven experience working effectively within the community * Is able to work well as part of an integrated team Essential skills and qualifications include: * A full and current driver's licence * Knowledge and understanding of tikanga and Te Reo Maori * A First Aid certificate would be advantageous.
