As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll ensure our automated equipment operates efficiently and safely. You’ll diagnose and repair faults, maintain inventory levels, and work collaboratively with the engineering and operations teams to drive performance and reliability. This role works on a Du Pont rostering system, providing 24/7 operational support. You will work closely with the Engineering Services Team and operational staff to pinpoint opportunities for improving machine processes. They will liaise with process leads to provide updates and insights on machine performance, reliability, availability, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance to meet operational requirements
* Diagnose and repair faults quickly and cost-effectively
* Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure consumables are available
* Collaborate with team members to improve machine performance and reliability
* Provide coaching and training to junior technicians and operations staff
* Build strong relationships with internal teams and external contractors
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
* EWRB registered as a Service Technician, or
* EST A/B qualifications, or
* Formal mechanical qualification
Experience:
* Previous experience in an industrial production or automation environment
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills on live machinery
* Mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic experience (an advantage)
* Experience in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment (preferred)
Skills:
* Proficient in Microsoft Suite
* Ability to read electrical, control, and mechanical drawings
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Experience with CMMS (SAP, Maximo) and SCADA systems (desirable)
