You will also be responsible for the coordination and continuous improvement of our Health and Safety Management System. This position promotes, coordinates, and facilitates site health and safety activities, processes, education, and training to improve occupational health, safety and emergency preparedness at Stockton to support the achievement of a Zero Harm Culture at Stockton Mine. Additionally, this position includes the evaluating and reporting on the effectiveness of site occupational health and safety activities, monitoring safe handling of materials/substances and management of OHS system standards/procedures and the monitoring and evaluation of mine contractors and their obligations to comply with the statutory and company requirements. The ideal applicant will have experience in a similar position and will have a formal qualification in Health and Safety or be willing to study towards one.
