Groundfix is a national award-winning specialist civil and geotechnical contracting firm who are renowned for high quality work and technical expertise. We are looking for an experienced Telehandler Operator to join our multi-disciplined team. The role is Auckland-based however work sites will be located all around New Zealand.
About the role
- The role will largely consist of operating various kinds of telehandlers on site, including Groundfix 360-rotating telehandler, for either support operations or drilling / shotcrete works, but will also require the operation of other plant and equipment (excavators, dumper, skid steer) as well as general hands-on tasks when required
- Maintaining, managing, and servicing machinery and equipment.
- Maintain high Health & Safety standards and ensure others on site adhere to good Health & Safety practices.
- Ensure any actions that may impact the environment are reported to your supervisor and/or acted on immediately.
About you
- Experience operating telehandlers in the civil construction industry, ideally in geotechnical construction or slope stabilisation
- Experience operating rotating telehandlers or mobile cranes
- Full, clean Class 2 driver license with WTR endorsement
- New Zealand Residency or valid work visa
- Be physically fit with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Willing to get stuck in and get your hands dirty to help the team when needed
- Demonstrate a good track record in technical delivery and paperwork
- Good attitude toward Health and Safety
- Good communication skills
Preferable skills and experience:
- Telehandler operation certification
- First aid and site safe/construct safe qualifications preferred but not essential.
